Overview

Ed is a partner and head of corporate at the firm. He specialises in corporate & employment law, and helped create the firm in 2018.

Ed can advise and act on corporate and employment matters. Ed can act on corporate matters such as mergers, acquisitions and disposals, management buy outs, private equity transactions, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, share options, partnership agreements, company group restructures and all forms of commercial agreements.  Ed can also act on employment matters such as consultancy and employment agreements, post-termination restrictions, settlement agreements and exit negotiation, employee handbooks and director service agreements.

Previous

Ed worked at Morgan & Pope Solicitors and national firm Clarke Willmott as a Paralegal before training at Cook Corporate. Ed worked for Cook Corporate from 2018 – 2023 until starting as a Solicitor at Burges Salmon LLP. In February 2024 Ed became Partner & Head of Corporate at Cook Corporate.

Other

Ed has worked for several law firms both small and intermational in the South West which has given him a unique insight into the different cultures and work ethics of these firms.

Ed studied Theology LLB at the University of Exeter and has an MA in Law from BPP University. Ed is a keen runner who ran the Paris Marathon in 2023, and in his spare time with his brother and family undertakes major DIY by doing his own loft conversion.
